The historic Halfway House in Glenside Reserve was lifted off its foundations on Tuesday, 22 October 2013 and moved to one side as restoration work on the more than 120-year-old building gets under way.
Contractors carefully jacked the two-storey wooden house up, lifted it off its original native timber piles and lowered it onto beams and rollers. It was then rolled off and away from its foundations to a temporary location close by.
Once the new piles are in place, the house will be shifted back to its original location.
