This is a neighbourly event for residents and employees in Glenside, including Monterey and Willowbank Road. Note: More than 60 tickets sold! We have a number of tickets still available, which are now offered to neighbouring suburbs.
Bring back memories of a childhood picking blackberries in the summer sun.
Enjoy the taste of blackberries. Retro music. Story-time. Games.
Please make your favourite blackberry finger-food - a savoury or sweet treat - and bring it to share. One plate per family.
$5 per ticket. Children under 12 free if accompanied by an adult. Tickets available from a representative of the Glenside Progressive Assn. Inc. or email info @ glenside.org.nz

Lamingtons - use blackberry jelly instead of raspberry
Blackberry muffins. Swap out blueberries or raspberries
Blackberry jelly and fruit tarts. Fill pre-bought pastry cases
Blackberry jam and cheese sandwiches
Fruit kebabs with marshmallows, blackberries and other yummy fruits
Bake a Louise Cake slice, with blackberry jam instead of raspberry jam
Pikelets with blackberry jam
Miniature blackberry fruit iceblocks
Blackberry meringues. Fill small ‘Heritage’ brand meringues with whipped mix of cream and blackberry jam
Blackberry jam and cream cheese sandwiches. Cut into pretty shapes
