A working bee is to be held at the Halfway House grounds (next to Twigland Gardeners World) on Saturday, June 13th between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. The intention is to clear blackberry and weeds off the streamside bank and infill with planting. We will then work along the fenceline preparing the way for a future heritage orchard. We are hoping to one day replace working bees with honey bees pollinating orchard blossoms!
The working bee is a joint effort of the Halfway House Heritage Garden Group and Wellington City Council Parks and Reserves. Please come and join us! Bring gardening gloves, and tools such as a spade or loppers. See you there!
