On 14th May 2015 the NZ Meteriological Service reported a severe weather watch with heavy rain and gales over much of the North Island.

These images were taken during the afternoon and show the impact of the rainfall on Glenside Streams, which carry about 30 percent of the upper catchment of the Porirua Harbour.

Our Glenside Community Patroller, Jacqueline, said that it was not as bad as previous storms weathered by the community such as the floods of February 2004 and the land slips of 2013.
